Leahy withholds amendment to include LGBT couples in immigration reform

- Folks writing that this is an immigration bill not a gay rights bill don't get it. Immigration is that of allowing citizens of other nations to enter our country. All the amendment was asking was that those immigrants who happen to have same sex partners be included. That is immigration.

- I lived in Vienna years back and was amazed at the history and the fact that buildings were still in use that were older than the United States. On my return I saw beautiful old building razed for malls, glass buildings and profit. They will be gone in decades.

- This immigration is large and comprehensive trying to be all to everyone. IF one is in then why not all? With immigration as it is now.......specifically speaking to this article the GLTB community is NOT treated the same as heterosexual relationships.

- In reading these posts it comes to mind that the analogy of republicans are from Mars and democrats are from Venus. No matter what we just think differently. What angers me is when the voters decided on who is to be president the other side whines and shoves against it.

- I think this 'rukus' over Thatcher's funeral demonstrates how conservative policies effects people. Their method or policies hurt people in favor of the almighty dollar or pound.
